I Have a Chinese Electronic Coin Acceptor – How to Install an Alberici Electronic Coin Acceptor: User Instructions

Dimitris Papadakis

Installing a high-quality electronic coin acceptor, such as Alberici, can improve the functionality of your machine, ensuring accuracy and reliability. If you already have a Chinese electronic coin acceptor and want to replace it, below you will find step-by-step instructions for installing your new coin acceptor.

Basic Installation Information

Each machine that supports coin acceptors has:

  • 3 basic cables (or in some cases 4).
    • Red or yellow wire : This is the +12 volt power supply.
    • Black wire : It is the ground.
    • Third wire : Sends the coin signal to the machine.
    • Fourth wire (if present): Goes to the analog coin counter.

How to Find +12 Volt and Ground

To make sure you are connecting power and ground correctly, follow these steps with the help of a multimeter:

  1. Connect the black lead of the multimeter to the black lead of the machine (ground lead).
  2. Connect the red lead of the multimeter to the yellow or red lead.
  • If the multimeter shows +12 volts , then the connections are correct.
  • If it shows -12 volts , you have reversed the connections and there is a risk of damaging the coin acceptor.

Connecting the Alberici Coin Acceptor to the Plaque

Follow the instructions below to connect your Alberici coin acceptor:

  1. Connect the +12 volts from the machine to the +12V of the green board.
  2. Connect the ground connection (GND) of the machine to the GND of the board.
  3. The third wire, which carries the coin pulse, is connected to the OUT of the board.

The green board is specially designed to connect directly to the Alberici coin acceptor via its cable.
